While vacationing with friends on Whidbey Island, Washington, Gisele discovered a remarkable storefront in the charming waterfront village of Coupeville (where the movie "Practical Magic" was filmed). The courtyard pond with waterfall and cove view, vistas of mussel fishermen and sailboats are now the home of her recent venture - Seawitch Architectural Interiors.
Built in 1936, for the town barber and his beautician daughter, the double entry building now sports a jaunty red canopy with black scalloped edge, bookended by lush hanging floral baskets. It is there where you will find her exquisite line of French wire garden accessories, Italian pottery, baskets, rugs, French Country antiques, and full service interior design
- all in a tranquil seaside setting.
The shop is design oasis filled with artfully arranged vignettes of home, garden and lifestyle treasures from far corners of the world. A treasure trove of antiques, Persian rugs, French country chests, and fashionable lines of approachable staples make it a destination shopping experience not to be missed.
Seasonal changes to the entire decor allow for enticing new design themes. Rich autumnal hues provide the right backdrop for exotic spiced signature fragrances, Indian brass trays, locally hand-made grapevine baskets, and French bistro champagne riddling racks. Spring and summer themes of home and garden are blended seamlessly with imported iron garden furnishings, moss covered urns, and an array of hanging pots and adornments to delight the gardener and hostess alike.
Stroll throughout the high ceilinged, double roomed space and lushly landscaped garden with its flowing pond filled with golden Koi. Style savvy expert design advice is available for the asking year-round at Seawitch Architectural Interiors. |
